Everyone dreams of being upon an enormous mountain where the temperature is always below freezing and where many horrid legends are born. Oh, not many you say? Perhaps you're right for no one lives in Sub-Zero Heights... a place where it is said monsters lurk and people disappear. Yet, the wonderful mountains have a softer side to them as well. With the snow lightly falling and the dead trees clawing at the rolling gray clouds it has a sort of majesty not easily found. While it is terribly cold one might find this place ideal for being alone.

Midnight Valley is a place of danger and many do not dare lurk around in this dark place. It is whispered that this is where the Nightmares wait, eager to kill any unlucky Dream and harm any weary humans. Midnight Valley is surrounded by dark, looming mountains that are cast in darkness twenty-four hours a day. Not even the moon or stars grace this gloomy part of the world and so one wonders the rocky surface in near blindness. With no vegetation or animals to see, it's easy to see how one might get lost.

Engulfing a quarter of Nikodem's lone continent, the Chanda Desert has come to be revered by the people-so long as they aren't near it. The Chanda desert is a lonely place, full of nothing but white sand and large mounds. It's nearly impossible to explore this vast expanse of land for it is so terribly hot here! Though, because of this fact many have fled here as a refuge. You may find one of these sole survivors around, if you can find the means to survive as well.

This was once a place full of joy and happiness, but time and lowly people have altered that cheerful facade. Now all that lies here are tattered buildings, danger, and the ever present villian. With the skyscrapers torn and the good people long gone, there is nothing left to recall of this joyous city. Gangs and clans ravage what little is left and people are advised not to come here.

Burned to ashes and the sky blackened, Viggo is a dream best left forgotten. There once was a place sheltered by a blue sky and people roamed the flourishing ground eagerly, but war has destroyed this shining island. All that remains is the shattered fixtures of homes and buildings, but even they are charred by the bitter past. Usually, the Dreams and Nightmares clash here and have made this their unofficial war grounds.

Unlike most of the places in Nikodem, Gershom Forest is a place full of that rare bliss. Clustered with trees the sky is blocked by a canpoy of green, though the sun still finds means to shine through and flash upon the bright ground littered with lovely flowers. Most Dreams come here for salvation and only a foolish Nightmare would enter this little dream world.

Settled on the outskirts of Imeda City, one can see the sheer vastness of the plains from the cities edge. There one can see the graceful strands of gold wheat drift solemnly in the wind and feel the warmth of the sun as it makes the sea of gold shimmer in merriment. Bakar Plain is an awfully lonely place though, for it is silent here: not even a whisper of the wind can be heard. The only sign of life is the wheat itself and the stray traveler who comes here for a silent retreat.
